Late Last year I went on to VW’s Facebook page and commented on a post about how VW owner’s have used their cars/van’s in a creative way.  A week or two later they contacted me about featuring me in their e-newsletter.  A week or two after that they contacted me again and they said they wanted me in their magazine!  I was tickled pink!  Here’s my original post on Facebook.

“We have a 2009 Routan SE.  We bought it because we were going to have
our third child and our current car wasn’t going to cut it.  It was
perfect for our needs.  To my surprise,  as a professional
photographer, it became my mobile studio/office as well.  First of all
as a people mover it’s excellent.  I can carry my models, assistants,
and gear comfortably.  Unfortunately, I don’t have the SEL so I rigged
up a little contraption to hold my iPad to the headliner to review
photos inside the van.  I can see this setup being perfect for the
three DVD players in an SEL.  At a recent photo shoot we were shooting
at a beach in the morning and it was foggy and very wet.  It was
perfect for what we needed to do but bad on our equipment so we were
in a hurry.  Because we were able to have a “staff” meeting in our
Routan after our photo shoot we were able to see that we needed more
shots and went out again. Thank you Volkswagen!”
